World Amyloidosis Day

October 26 was World Amyloidosis Day, raising awareness about a rare, genetic, and often fatal condition called hereditary ATTR (hATTR) amyloidosis, which affects 50,000 people worldwide. Although anyone can be at risk, ethnicities more commonly affected include people of Portuguese and Brazilian descent. Neurologist Dr. Hans Katzberg talks about the challenges.
