Luso Canadian Charitable Society has received $2.7 million in federal funding through the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) to improve access to its Mississauga facility. Announced by Minister Kamal Khera, the investment will support upgrades such as multisensory rooms, accessible ramps, elevators, and washrooms, enhancing services for individuals with disabilities. The project aims to reduce service wait times, create jobs, and further the federal government’s commitment to the Canada Disability Inclusion Action Plan.

Minister Khera was joined by local MPs Rechie Valdez, Charles Sousa, and Peter Fonseca to emphasize the importance of promoting inclusion across communities.
