Over the weekend from October 11th to October 13th, downtown Kitchener transformed into a lively Bavarian village as the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest took place. Modeled after the world-famous German Oktoberfest, the annual celebration brought traditional music, food, and festivities to the heart of the twin cities.
Thousands of visitors enjoyed bratwurst, pretzels, and beer at various festival venues, while live performances and family-friendly activities created a vibrant atmosphere. The highlight was the Oktoberfest Parade, featuring colorful floats and German dance groups, which drew crowds to the streets.
Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest remains one of the largest Bavarian festivals outside of Germany, blending local community spirit with German tradition
